Navigating the intersection of electric vehicles and renewable energy
Russell has over 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, including Nissan and Mercedes-Benz. He’s lead strategy, sales and marketing for the cross-over between EV and energy storage and has been successful in bringing new technologies to market. Russell is currently at Nuvve leading vehicle to grid (V2G) business opportunities in North America.

My career focus has been on the intersection of electric vehicles and renewable energy. At Nissan North America, I was within Corporate Strategy and initially supported the launch of the Nissan LEAF. I then moved to identify new business opportunities for electric vehicles and led Nissan’s Vehicle-to-Grid project, and supported 4R, Nissan’s joint venture for battery second-life. In 2015 I moved to Mercedes-Benz as the first employee in North America for the new energy storage division. In 2018 I moved to Nuvve, a software start up commercializing Vehicle to Grid technology.
